[TV Report=Reporter Kang Seong-hoon] George Clooney, a movie star and director known for his wealth of 700 billion won (approximately $583 million), is set to release a new film.

On the 19th (local time), George Clooney was interviewed with the foreign press ‘Deadline’ to promote his new film, *The Boys In the Boat*. On that day, he confidently stated that he believed this movie was a Christmas film that everyone could enjoy.

*The Boys In the Boat* is a biographical sports drama film produced and directed by George Clooney, based on a book of the same name. Callum Turner (33) and Joel Edgerton (49) star in the film.

The film tells the story of the University of Washington rowing team, from the start of the Great Depression to their gold medal win at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. It will be released on Christmas Day, December 25, in the U.S. at ‘Amazon MGM Studios’.

Meanwhile, George Clooney is not only known for his acting and producing skills but also for his generosity towards his friends. According to the foreign press ‘Page Six’ in 2017, George Clooney gave a total of $14 million (approximately 183 billion Korean won), and $1 million (approximately 1.3 billion Korean won) each, to 14 of his friends.

At the time, George Clooney met with the 14 friends, recalling when he first arrived in LA and explained that the cash gifts were because they helped him overcome difficulties. He thanked his friends, saying, “Without you, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

With his generous personality, George Clooney’s net worth is listed as $550 million (approximately 7,171 billion Korean won) as of the 20th, according to the celebrity net worth portal site ‘CAknowledge’. It is rumored that he earns more than $50 million (approximately 652 billion Korean won) annually from his income alone.
