Leader of TFBOYS, Karry Wang, expresses his anger towards photographers for crowding the airport and causing a disturbance
Deliberately chose a red-eye flight
Wang Junkai (王俊凱, Karry Wang), the leader of the Chinese group TFBOYS, burst out in anger and shouted at paid photographers at the airport.
TFBOYS was surrounded by fans and photographers at an international airport in China, preparing to jet off to Paris for fashion week.
As they were escorted inside the airport, swarms of fans and paparazzi gathered to get a glimpse of them, causing people to fall and public property to be pushed over.
The leader Wang Junkai was so angry at the situation that he shouted and pointed at the paparazzi after crossing customs. He turned to the camera and angrily shouted, “Can you take responsibility for this? Do you have any sense of public morality?“
In the background of the footage, Junkai’s bodyguard reportedly shouted: “You people are too much!”
Some freelance photographers are known to stalk celebrities and publicize idols’ schedules.
Some people even pretend to be fans, ask for autographs, and then sell them at high prices.
After sharing the video online, one fan explained, “Rumors circulated that he deliberately chose a 3 a.m. flight to avoid causing public disruptions.”
The video of Wang Junkai expressing his anger quickly spread online, and the idol was praised for standing up for not only artists but the public who are disturbed by paid photographers.
Fans reacted with comments like, “He took a red-eye flight to avoid causing a commotion. This is too much,” “He has already done his best,” and “How can photographers be allowed to do this?”
Meanwhile, Wang Junkai debuted as the leader and main vocalist of TFBOYS in 2013.
The members of TFBOYS, who had an average age of 12.3 at the time of their debut, quickly rose to stardom, receiving massive attention in the Chinese-speaking world.
