Jin’s social media & BTS Weverse

In 2024, some celebrities will finally be discharged from their lengthy military service.

BTS member Jin, who enlisted in active duty in December 2022, is scheduled to be discharged on June 12th, much to the anticipation of his fans.

As an active duty soldier, Jin entered the 5th Infantry Division’s recruit training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province. As the oldest member of BTS, he was the first in the group to start his military service.

Since then, he has been serving as an assistant instructor at the 5th Division’s recruit training center.

J-Hope, another member of BTS, also enlisted in April 2023 and is expected to be discharged on October 17th.

The amusing anecdotes of the first two members of BTS to enlist have also attracted attention.

When BTS member Jung Kook was doing a live broadcast before going to the military, Jin entered the broadcast and nagged in the comments, “Please contact me.” Jung Kook retorted, “I was abroad, so it was hard to contact you. Let’s meet during the holiday.”

Jin made everyone laugh by telling Jungkook, “J-Hope and I exchange 300 texts daily.”

Monsta X’s social media

In May 2023, Minhyuk of Monsta X enlisted. His expected discharge date is September 30th.

Minhyuk enlisted second in Monsta X after Shownu and entered the 5th Division’s Key Unit Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province.

He has been bravely performing his military service, even serving as a platoon leader, and attracted attention in October 2023 when he performed various performances at the Ground Forces Festival, including NewJeans “Super Shy.”

After the video of the stage was released, fans reacted with comments like, “He seems to have gotten better after going to the military,” and “I want to see Minhyuk perform again after he is discharged.”

Song Danna· Kang Seung Yoon’s Social Media

In March 2023, Mino began his alternative service as a social service agent. Kang Seung Yoon, the team’s leader and youngest member, entered the training center in June 2023, officially starting Winner’s “military hiatus.”

Both are scheduled to be discharged in December and once Kang Seung Yoon is discharged, Winner plans to resume full group activities.

During his service, Mino participated in his younger sister Song Danna’s wedding ceremony in the United States. He drew attention by walking down the aisle holding Song Danna’s hand in place of their late father.

People were curious how Mino, who should have been in the military, could attend the wedding. A representative of Mino said, “He went to the United States after going through official procedures.”

Actor Nam Joo-hyuk enlisted in 2023 and will be discharged on September 19th. He passed the Mobile Unit of the Military Police before enlistment, received five weeks of basic military training, and is currently serving in the 32nd Division Military Police.

Actor Ong Seong Wu, a former member of Wanna One, also enlisted as an active duty soldier in April 2023 and is expected to be discharged on October 13th. He appeared in the JTBC drama “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” as his last work before enlistment. The drama was top-rated, and many looked forward to his acting activities after discharge.
