The group (G)I-DLE has taken a stand against malicious commenters.
On February 15, Cube Entertainment shared, “There have been indiscriminate occurrences of malicious posts and comments that damage the image and reputation of our artists. These include malicious slander, spreading false information, invasion of privacy, sexual harassment, and the creation and distribution of falsified materials” on their official social media account.
They announced, “Our company will prevent any infringement on the artists’ rights and smooth operation through fan reports, continuous self-monitoring, and data collection. We plan to take civil and criminal action through a specialized law firm.” They also emphasized that there will be no leniency or settlements in this process.
Finally, Cube Entertainment conveyed, “Our company will continue to do our best to protect the rights of our artists.”
(G)I-DLE released their second full album, “2,” last month and is promoting the title song “Super Lady.”
