Mukesh Ambani, CEO of Reliance Industries and considered Asia’s richest man, is preparing for his youngest son’s lavish wedding and has invited numerous billionaires and Hollywood stars worldwide, according to AP and AFP reports on February 2 (local time).

According to reports, his 28-year-old son, Anant Ambani, is set to marry his long-time girlfriend Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, Gujarat, India, in July. Merchant is the daughter of Viren Merchant, the CEO of the Indian pharmaceutical company Encore Healthcare.

The three-day wedding ceremony is expected to be attended by 1,200 celebrities, including Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft (MS), Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, and Ivanka Trump, the daughter of former U.S. President Donald Trump.

In addition, performances by Rihanna and magician David Blaine have been planned. India Today reported that Rihanna was offered a performance fee of 9 million dollars.

Guests attending the wedding will visit an animal rescue center run by Anant Ambani, dressed in jungle-themed attire. Known as Bantara, meaning star of the forest, the center is four times the size of Yeouido, covering an area of about 4.6 square miles, and is home to endangered animals, including elephants.

Luxurious parties are held daily, and attendees must dress according to a new dress code each time.

For this wedding, Ambani is building a new Hindu temple complex, and over 2,500 dishes will be served at the wedding party alone.

Ambani has previously attracted global attention by hosting lavish parties for his daughter’s and eldest son’s weddings in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

Notable attendees at the December 2018 wedding celebration for his daughter, Isha Ambani, included former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Chairman of Samsung Electronics Lee Jae Yong, and James Murdoch, the younger son of media mogul Rupert Murdoch. Pop star Beyoncé handled the celebration performance. It was reported that Ambani spent 100 million dollars on this wedding alone.

In 2019, his eldest son Akash Ambani’s wedding was attended by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Sundar Pichai, and former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon. A photo of Chairman Lee Jae Yong attending the event in traditional Indian attire was also released, which became a topic of conversation.

CEO Ambani amassed a substantial fortune through success in the oil and gas and petrochemical industries. In 2016, he entered the Indian telecommunications market with Reliance Jio, effectively dominating the market and becoming one of Asia’s richest men.

His 27-story mansion Antilia in Mumbai, India, is considered the world’s most expensive private residence.
