The terrorists who carried out the indiscriminate shooting and arson attack on a concert hall in the Russian capital, Moscow, appeared in court with swollen faces. Videos and photos suggesting that Russian soldiers tortured the arrested terrorists are circulating on social media.

According to AP news and others, on the 24th (local time), the Moscow Basmanny District Court announced that it would keep Dalerjon Mirzoev, Saidakrami Rachabalizoda, Muhammadsobir Fayzov, and Shamsidin Fariduni in pre-trial detention until May 22 on charges of mass terrorism.

All four suspects charged with terrorism appeared in court. In court, three of them, excluding Payzov, reportedly admitted to their crimes. All four suspects were identified as Tajik nationals.

When they appeared in court, their faces were bruised and swollen. Payzov appeared in court in a wheelchair after being in the hospital.

Local media reported that the suspects were tortured during the interrogation process by Russian authorities.

Videos and photos of the alleged torture by Russian soldiers also circulated online that day. Russian soldiers reportedly posted these on social media, including Telegram.

According to the Daily Mail the released video shows Russian soldiers mutilating Rakhavalizhoda’s body and then bringing the mutilated body parts to his mouth to force-feed him.

Another photo shows Pariduni in pain with his pants down. In the photo, wires are attached to certain parts of Pariduni’s body. The wires are connected to a military radio that runs on an 80 V battery, the Daily Mail reported.

In addition, many videos were released showing Russian soldiers knocking down terrorists and kicking or punching them.

The terror incident they committed took place at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk, northwest of Moscow, on the 22nd. At that time, the terrorists indiscriminately fired automatic rifles, sprayed flammable liquid, set fire to the concert hall building, and fled the scene.

The terror attack resulted in over 200 casualties. As of the afternoon of the 24th, 137 people have died, 68 bodies of which have been identified.
