Robot or Human? Chinese Restaurant Owner’s Performance Leaves Diners Guessing!

A restaurant owner in Chongqing, China, who delivers true-to-life robot performances that could easily be mistaken for a genuine android is garnering attention.

According to the South China Morning Post (SCMP), on the 10th, a video and photos of a restaurant owner in Chongqing, southwestern China, imitating a mechanoid server went viral online.

The 26-year-old restaurant owner, Ms. Jin, is putting on a performance that includes everything from waving her hands like a bot to greet customers at the entrance, serving plates with robotic movements, and pouring tea.

Many customers reportedly believed she was an actual robot.

According to Jiupai News, Ms. Jin is exploiting the dance skills she has been learning since she was 12 years old for her robot performance. She disclosed that the rhythmic and mechanical movements of the machine are very similar to the beat of street dance.

Ms. Jin further stated that she uses her talent to entertain customers and bring uniqueness to the restaurant.

The video of this robot waitress restaurant has spread overseas, receiving more than 50,000 likes on Facebook.

One netizen expressed surprise, saying that she doesn’t even blink.
