Korean Air announced on the 14th that it had won the top award in the first-class in-flight meal category at the 2024 Leisure and Lifestyle Travel Awards, organized by the world-renowned travel magazine Global Traveler.

Korean Air also received the Best In-flight Meal award from Global Traveler in December last year, making it a two-year consecutive win. Currently, Korean Air is serving a variety of menu items for first-class passengers, including Korean bibimbap, spicy beef short rib stew, Chilean sea bass, and sirloin steak.

Global Traveler is a magazine specializing in aviation and travel in the Americas, published in 2004. Every year, it conducts surveys among its online and offline subscribers and announces the rankings of companies in various fields related to aviation and travel based on the results. The fact that consumers who have directly used the services participate in the survey is highly regarded for its credibility.

Meanwhile, Korean Air is continuously improving the quality of its in-flight meal service. In response to the growing vegetarian population, Korean Air introduced a vegan menu based on traditional Korean cuisine early last year. It also introduced a pre-order service for in-flight meals for prestige-class passengers.

In addition, Marc Almert, the youngest champion of the World’s Best Sommelier competition, is collaborating with the company to select and serve over 50 new wines.
