Child’s Cry for Help Reveals Disturbing Classroom Practices

A claim has surfaced that an English academy instructor ordered a young primary school student to remove their pants and enforced a punishment of writing their name with their buttocks.

On the 21st, a post titled “Ridiculous English Language Institute Asking to Remove Pants” was uploaded to the online community Bobaedream.

The victim’s parent shared, “My young primary school boy, experienced this at an English academy. He started learning English later than others and is in a beginner’s class.”

The parent claimed, “The male teacher at the institute told my child that if he didn’t score a certain amount on the vocabulary test given at the start of each class, he would have to remove his pants and write his name with his buttocks in front of his friends the next day. The punishment was only targeted at my child, presumably because he had the lowest score. If he didn’t meet the score, he had to do it every day.”

The parent was initially skeptical of their child’s words. They asked, “Do teachers really say such things these days? Are you making this up because you don’t want to go to the academy?”

Then, the child said, “No, it’s true. He said I had to do it. He even brought it up when I was going home after class. It’s embarrassing. He’s a pervert. Do I have to go tomorrow? And the teacher teased me by calling me a nickname only he uses.”

The parent exploded, “I was so shocked. What kind of behavior is this in an English class, using nicknames instead of Korean or English names? For nearly two months, my child endured teasing, causing embarrassment and laughter among his friends. It’s a serious issue that he’s asking him to take off his pants, let alone expose himself in front of his friends, and write his name with his buttocks. The teacher, whose role is to prevent bullying among students, was the one initiating.”

When the child attempted to protest by calling it child abuse, the instructor threatened to give him a penalty if he spoke in Korean.

The parent fumed, “He said he endured it for a long time because he didn’t know how to say child abuse in English and couldn’t express his dissatisfaction. It’s really wicked.”

The instructor who introduced himself as a child psychology and education expert, calmly acknowledged his actions. When the parent inquired about the reason for teasing the child with a nickname, the instructor replied, “Did he tell his mother about that, too?”

The parent expressed deep anger and disbelief that someone like the instructor was teaching children. When the parent asked the instructor about his actions towards the child, the instructor justified their actions by claiming he did it to motivate the child to improve their performance. The parent wondered aloud how long this would have continued if not discovered, questioning the instructor’s mindset in casually instructing a child to remove their pants.

Ultimately, an official from the academy said, “It appears he did that to make the class atmosphere fun. He’s certainly not the type of teacher who would behave inappropriately.”

The parent asserted, “This is child abuse and an absurd incident that could make the news. While the principal acknowledged it, they said they couldn’t let the instructor go. I suggested suspending the class and putting him on standby, but they refused to separate him, so my child quit.”

The instructor is currently under police investigation for sexual harassment, and the child is reported to be receiving treatment at a mental health clinic and a psychological center.
