On Wednesday morning, General Kim Myung Soo, Chairman of the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), spoke with General Jennie Carignan, Canada’s Chief of the Defense Staff. The JCS reported that this was their second discussion since August.

Carignan expressed concern over the recent bolstering of military ties between North Korea and Russia, viewing it as a global issue with particular implications for the Korean Peninsula. She underscored the critical importance of bilateral military cooperation in these uncertain times.
