According to local media reports on Tuesday, Cha Eunwoo of K-pop group Astro has completed work on his solo album and wrapped up filming for a music video last week. The highly anticipated release is slated for September, following Cha’s enlistment for mandatory military service on July 28. After basic training, the multi-talented idol will serve as a member of the Army marching band.

Cha recently thrilled fans with solo meet-and-greet events in Seoul and Tokyo. Dubbed “The Royal,” these showcases featured a series of performances, including a sneak peek of an unreleased solo track. Attendees were also treated to Cha’s rendition of “Soda Pop,” a dance number from Netflix’s animated hit “KPop Demon Hunters.”

The singer-actor’s solo career has been gaining momentum since the release of his debut EP “Entity” in February 2024. The mini-album was a commercial success, moving over 210,000 copies in its first week alone.
