RedditA Korean woman has been terminated from her position after a video depicting her alleged assault on two Vietnamese women at a self-photo booth in Hanoi, Vietnam went viral, sparking widespread public outrage across the Southeast Asian nation, according to news reports released on Thursday.

The company’s Vietnamese branch issued an official apology on its website, confirming that the woman, who had previously been employed at its regional office in Vietnam and was currently based at the Korean headquarters, was dismissed as a result of the incident.

The company’s statement revealed that the incident occurred while the employee was on a business trip to Vietnam from June 9-14.

The viral footage shows the Korean woman slapping the arm of a Vietnamese customer and forcibly removing her hat, which subsequently escalated into a full-fledged physical altercation.

In a later statement to local media, the Korean woman claimed she had been under the influence of alcohol at the time. She asserted that she had resolved the matter by promising to compensate the victim with 60 million Vietnamese dong (approximately $2,300 USD). However, the victim contradicted this claim in a social media post on Tuesday, stating that no payment had been received.
