South Korea’s Airports Transform into Art Galleries Just in Time for Holiday Travelers

Daniel Kim Views

As the peak holiday season approaches, travelers passing through South Korea’s three major airports will be treated to an impressive array of artworks while they wait to check in or board their flights.

Incheon, Gimpo, and Gimhae international airports are set to showcase approximately 30 pieces by 14 Korean artists. This exhibition comes just in time for the busy summer season and the anticipated influx of visitors for Frieze Seoul (Sept. 3-6) and associated events during Korea’s art week.

The Korea Arts Management Service reports that this initiative aims to spotlight emerging and mid-career Korean artists. The exhibition will remain on display through November, offering travelers an extended opportunity to experience Korean art.
