AI-Powered Manufacturing: LG CNS and Honeywell’s Game-Changing Partnership

LG CNS, a South Korean IT solutions provider under LG Group, announced Monday its partnership with global automation giant Honeywell to penetrate the North American manufacturing market.

In a recent meeting at Honeywell’s Texas office, LG CNS CEO Hyun Shin-kyun and Honeywell Process Solutions President Pramesh Maheshwari agreed to collaborate on developing manufacturing technologies for AI transformation (AX). The focus will be on AI-driven factory automation and intelligent operational solutions.

Honeywell, a worldwide technology leader, provides sensors, controllers, and smart solutions across industrial automation, aerospace, and energy sectors. Its process solutions division specializes in automating manufacturing processes for industries like petrochemicals and pharmaceuticals.

This strategic alliance aims to merge LG CNS’s expertise in AX consulting and service integration with Honeywell’s long-standing proficiency in industrial control systems. A key component of this collaboration is LG CNS’s AI-powered problem-solving agent, which analyzes real-time production data collected via Honeywell’s distributed control systems to offer rapid solutions.

The companies also plan to explore new business opportunities through LG CNS’s innovative “AI 100 in 100” initiative. Launched earlier this year, this ambitious program aims to develop 100 generative AI services in just 100 days, targeting clients who face barriers to AI adoption due to cost, complexity, or time constraints.
