A video showcasing what appears to be a mysterious creature in the Han River has taken the internet by storm, according to local media reports on Wednesday.
At first glance, he assumed it was just a big fish. But upon closer inspection, the YouTuber was visibly shaken by what he described as a black, thick, and elongated creature swimming toward him.
“What on earth is that? I’m freaking out. It’s coming right at me,” he exclaimed in the video, and he promptly abandoned his fishing spot.
According to the YouTuber, the enigmatic creature lingered in the same area for about 20 minutes, moving steadily. He estimated its length to be an astonishing 20 to 33 feet (6 to 10 meters) and noted that it was thicker than a human body.
“It looked like there were two of them,” he added, his voice tinged with disbelief. “I’ve been fishing for decades, but this is unlike anything I’ve ever encountered.”
The video has since exploded online, garnering thousands of comments. Internet sleuths have been quick to offer their theories, with some suggesting it could be a group of playful otters, a stray alligator, or even a giant python taking a midnight swim.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the Han River has been at the center of a cryptozoological mystery. In 2022, a similar viral video captured an unidentified object of comparable size, which was later revealed to be nothing more than a buoy.
