On the 25th, American media outlet Prevention reported, “Based on research from Harvard University, oats have been selected as the top grain beneficial for blood vessels.”

The most abundant functional ingredient in oats is beta-glucan. Beta-glucan helps to reduce cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood, preventing the worsening of vascular diseases such as hyperlipidemia, heart disease (angina, myocardial infarction), and stroke (cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage). Oats also contain many unsaturated fatty acids, which help lower cholesterol and prevent inflammation.

Oats contain a variety of vitamins B and E, calcium, iron, potassium, phosphorus, manganese, and magnesium, providing a diverse range of nutrients.

Brown rice has been ranked as the #2 grain beneficial for blood vessels.

Brown rice is rich in gamma-oryzanol, which is beneficial for preventing cardiovascular diseases. Gamma-oryzanol has powerful antioxidant properties that improve blood circulation and help prevent vascular diseases such as heart disease and stroke.

Barley has been ranked as the #3 grain beneficial for blood vessels.

Barley also contains a lot of beta-glucan, which helps maintain vascular health. In particular, it lowers blood lipid levels by binding to bile in the colon and excreting it from the body.

Barley absorbs and excretes harmful substances such as cholesterol and heavy metals that enter the body through food, contributing to intestinal health. In particular, it prevents a rapid rise in blood sugar, helping with diabetes prevention and treatment. It also gives a strong sense of fullness due to its dietary fiber, preventing weight gain.
