A man in his twenties left a chilling suicide note saying, “I’ll curse you even in death,” after holding a grudge for being severely beaten by his college friend. However, the reason for the beating was so absurd that netizens were left speechless rather than sympathetic.

On the 9th, a post titled ‘My brother’s friend left a suicide note and made a drastic decision’ was uploaded on the online community Nate Pann.

The poster, who appears to be a woman in her twenties, introduced the story by saying, “My brother’s college friend got drunk and asked my brother, ‘Can I sleep with your girlfriend just once?’ and got severely beaten by my brother. After that, my brother’s friend became an outsider.”

The brother’s friend dropped out of school to become a police officer, but after failing the exam for 3-4 years, it seems he made a drastic decision, according to the poster’s judgment.

The problem was the content of the suicide note.

The poster said, “I heard that he wrote down the names of the people who hurt him in the suicide note, including my brother’s name, and said, ‘I will curse you even in death, so come and apologize.’ My brother, feeling uneasy, has scattered beans in his room.”

She expressed disbelief, saying, “You should have some limits to your victim mentality…you were beaten because you sexually harassed someone…”

Netizens who read the story reacted by saying, “Even a ghost like that can be driven out with herb salt,” “It’s funny that he wanted to become a police officer with that kind of personality,” and “Your brother has no reason to feel guilty,” and “I’m curious about the brain structure of such a person,” comforting the poster.

Although this case is different, there are occasional cases where victims express their grievances through suicide notes, saying, ‘I will take revenge even in death.’

In 2018, a couple in their 30s from Nonsan, Chungnam, fighting a legal battle over sexual assault, left a suicide note saying ‘I will take revenge even in death’ and took their own lives.

Before that, in 2002, a middle school student from Masan, Gyeongnam, who claimed to have been bullied at school, made a drastic decision after leaving a suicide note full of extreme hatred towards the perpetrator, saying ‘I won’t let it go even if I become a ghost.’
