How to Make Glossy Rice in 10 Minutes Using Microwave

butterpopcorn Views

Out of rice when you want to eat?
No worries! Just invest 10 minutes

After a long day, you come home ready to eat dinner, but alas! You’re out of instant rice, and there’s none left in your rice cooker. What a nightmare! What do you do in such situations? You’re too hungry to wait for a fresh pot of rice to cook, and it’s too cold outside to go out again!

But don’t worry; there’s an incredible hack for these situations.

Home Life Brother only invests 10 minutes at this time. You can cook rice in just 10 minutes. You must be curious about how. Let’s get right into it. If you know this, you can make rice quickly and easily.

All you need is a microwave and some rice. So, are you ready to make rice right away? Let’s go =33

Materials needed: Rice, 2 bowls, a mug

That’s all you need. And it’s good to have a paper cup. You can easily measure rice and water with a paper cup.

STEP 1. Wash a serving of rice

Home Life Brother washed a paper cup full of rice. We will use a mug, but if you put too much rice in, it can overflow from the mug. Be careful!

STEP 2. Put rice in the mug

If you have a mug, put it in the largest cup at home. It’s best to use a mug that is less than half full when the rice is put in.

STEP 3. Add water

The most essential part of cooking rice is water! Not sure how much water to add? If it’s unsoaked rice, add 1.5 times the amount of a paper cup, and if you’ve soaked the rice, add one paper cup of water.

But Home Life Brother usually adds water to the first joint of his index finger when cooking rice, and he does the same when making rice in a mug. It turned out fine!

This is up to you.

STEP 4. Before microwaving

Now, all you have to do is microwave it, but there’s something you must remember. When you put the mug in the microwave, place a convex plate underneath and cover it on top!

The convex plate underneath prevents the water from spilling out and causing a mess in the microwave, and the top will act as a lid.

STEP 5. Microwave

First, microwave for 4 minutes, then let it steam for about 2 minutes without opening the lid. Keep the lid closed and wait in the microwave, then microwave for another 4 minutes! And voila!

You’ll see water overflowing, and be glad you put a bowl underneath. If you didn’t put a bowl under it, the bottom of the microwave would already be full of water. Can you imagine the horrifying scene??

So, I tried making rice in a mug in just 10 minutes. Most people might think that rice made in a microwave wouldn’t taste good or be cooked perfectly, but after steaming and adjusting the water properly, I could cook delicious rice!

This method isn’t bad for when you’re out of rice at home, right?? Some might think a paper cup of rice isn’t enough, but it yields a bowl of rice, which is enough for one person.

Ah! And some of you freeze rice. It becomes hard and tasteless if you just put it in the microwave.

There’s a way to eat frozen rice moist and warm. All you need is frozen rice and ice!

Try microwaving frozen rice with an ice cube. Ice melts during defrosting, filling the space left by the evaporating moisture.

Now you can prepare frozen rice to eat as if it’s freshly cooked, right? Now, let’s make a hearty meal easily. We always need to eat well.
