.A recent survey revealed that six out of ten unmarried men and women have no interest in dating.

On the 16th, PMI, a data consulting firm, announced the results of a planned survey on the dating views of unmarried men and women. This survey targeted 3,000 men and women aged 20 to 69 nationwide.

When asked about their current dating status, nearly half of the unmarried men and women respondents answered ‘not in a relationship (46.3%)’. Only 35.4% responded that they were ‘in a relationship’.

When asked about their dating experience (based on dating for more than three months) after becoming an adult, four out of ten respondents answered ‘3-4 times.’ This was followed by ‘1-2 times’ (26.1%) and ‘5-6 times’ (18.4%).

For male respondents, the number of dating experiences’ 3-4 times’ was 46.2%. Female respondents also had the most dating experience’ 3-4 times’ at 34.7%.

PMI’s CEO Jo Min-hee said, “The increasing trend of choosing ‘single life,’ where a considerable number of unmarried men and women either have no dating experience or are not currently dating, reflects the importance of individual value, life satisfaction, and self-realization in modern society.”
