Grandpa Fan from the US Gets Surprise Invitation to See IU’s Concert

The American grandpa, Zev, at @zevdoeskdrama on YouTube, is attracting much attention online for his recent interaction with IU and Uaena, IU’s fandom. 

Zev, lovingly nicknamed “Grandpa Uaena” by the Uaena community, recently went viral by asking the online community how to join the Uaena fan club while living in the U.S.

Word got around to IU, who personally invited Zev to her concert after viewing the video.

On her Instagram story, IU shared, “Hi Grandpa! Your videos made me happy. I want to make you happy for a long time. I appreciate your smile. And… I’d like to invite you to my concert in America. My office will contact you, so please come.”

When fans relayed this news to Zev, he could not contain his excitement and joy, and his reaction again went viral.

Zev expressed his gratitude, saying, “My heart is beating so fast, I can’t believe it. IU is such a kind person. Her heart is as great as her talent. I am truly thankful for the invitation.”

IU, who recently made a comeback, is planning to hold her 2024 IU H.E.R. World Tour Concert, kicking off at the KSPO Dome at Olympic Park in Songpa-gu, Seoul on March 2-3 and 9-10, touring 18 cities in Asia, Europe, and the United States.
