Gua Sha 101: Easy Tips for a Sculpted Face and Neck

Daniel Kim Views

How to Use Gua Sha Smartly?

The effect of Gua Sha massage increases microcirculation by four times, and the increase in circulation continues even 25 minutes later. When the circulation improves, it reduces the size of the face. If the microcirculation in the skin decreases, the fat layer becomes hard. It turns into fat tissue where the lumpy fat does not easily fall off, but if the microcirculation increases, the fat becomes soft, and a smaller face is possible. Now, let’s learn how to do Gua Sha.

First,

To prepare for Gua Sha, apply an oil, moisturizing, or nourishing cream to your face. This will help prevent overstimulation of the skin. Remember that Gua Sha is not just a facial massage – it should also be done on the neck to improve the overall appearance. Before beginning, it’s essential to relax the scalp. If the scalp is tense or complex, it can cause the face to sag. If you’re concerned about a large zygoma, wrinkles, or double chin, try doing Gua Sha on the temples. When doing Gua Sha, move back in a zigzag motion to get the best results.

Second,

For those concerned about forehead wrinkles or sagging, performing Gua Sha on the forehead is recommended. Relaxation should be done in a zigzag direction towards the top of the head. Additionally, the back of the head should be relaxed for those worried about neck wrinkles and a thick neck. Scrape from the back of the neck to the top of the head.

Third,

The method of doing Gua Sha on the face is to scrape from the starting point behind the ear to the end point of the neckline from top to bottom. This is where you applied the oil. 1. From the chin to the end of the ear 2. From the end of the lips to the middle of the ear 3. From the end of the nose to the cheekbones 4. It is good to proceed with Gua Sha from under the eyes to the temples. After that, scrape the side of the nose in a Z shape and go up along the nose to the eyebrows for Gua Sha. Finally, massage from the hairline to the neck along the lymph to remove waste and finish.
