How to Transform Your Skin from Bumpy to Baby Soft

Daniel Kim Views

What Could Be the Cause of Rough Skin?

You might have experienced your skin feeling uneven and rough, even without acne. If you think something is rough on your face, you might be curious about how to remove it while under stress. Let’s look into the types of skin roughness and how to remove them.

Skin Roughness: Comedonal Acne

If you have a significant breakout, you can call it acne, but sometimes it can appear as tiny bumps, like small comedones. It can be confusing whether this is acne or not. Suddenly, you might notice a proliferation of these tiny bumps due to misuse of cosmetics or other factors. A medical professional can extract the sebum inside to solve the problem in such cases.

Skin Roughness: Flat Warts

Flat warts are an infectious disease caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). While warts typically appear bumpy on hands and feet, they appear flat and slightly raised on the face. To remove them, a CO2 laser, typically used for extracting spots, can be employed, leaving behind a tiny scab. This is an infectious disease, so there is a risk of recurrence.

Skin Roughness: Milia

Milia are formed when dead skin cells get trapped under the skin, creating small cysts that resemble a grain of rice. Usually, you can identify milia because they appear as small, yellow, or white bumps on the skin surface. Milia can develop as the skin heals after an injury, burn, or surgery. Rubbing your face often or touching it frequently can also lead to milia. Removing milia is relatively easy, using a laser to create a small hole or a needle to extract the contents, making it one of the easier types of skin roughness to remove.

Skin Roughness: Sebaceous Hyperplasia

People with a lot of sebum or older might notice small, white bumps on their faces. This is due to the excessive proliferation of sebaceous glands, making the skin appear rough. This usually occurs in men over 50 with oily skin. A CO2 laser can remove these bumps. However, if the bumps are deep, multiple treatments may be necessary for the best results.
