Busan snagged the top spot for “best value travel destination” with an average room rate of just $118. Known for its stunning spots like Haeundae Beach, Gamcheon Culture Village, and Beomeosa Temple, this vibrant city is perfect for both domestic and international travelers looking to soak up some culture and sun.

2. Hat Yai, Thailand – $37

Hat Yai in Thailand offers one of the most affordable stays on the list, with an average room rate of $37. Known for its accessibility and mouth-watering culinary scene, travelers flock to the Kim Yong Market for a taste of local flavors.

3. Yogyakarta, Indonesia – $39

In Indonesia, Yogyakarta is a cultural gem with an average room rate of $39. This city blends history and modernity, with must-visit spots like Borobudur and Prambanan temples for those seeking unique experiences.

4. Kuching, Malaysia – $56

If you’re looking for a destination that mixes natural beauty and historical charm, Kuching in Malaysia is your spot. With an average room rate of $56, it’s perfect for those who want to explore the stunning Sarawak River or dive into colonial history at Fort Margherita.

5. Siargao Island, Philippines – $59

Agoda’s Korea branch representative Lee Jun Hwan hopes this ranking inspires travelers to explore new places without breaking the bank. “Whether it’s a quick escape or a long holiday, travel should always provide new experiences at affordable prices,” he said.
