A unique hot tub boat experience makes waves, offering thrill-seekers the chance to soak up the Windy City’s stunning riverside views in style.

Timeout reports that Chicago Electric Boat launched its hot tub boat experience on November 13. This innovative vessel features an interior filled with warm, bubbly water, creating the ultimate relaxation cruise.

Setting sail from Marina City, this aquatic adventure lasts 90 minutes, meandering south along the Chicago River.

The concept of floating hot tubs isn’t new. Adam Karpenske dreamed up the first one in 2011, and it made its debut on London’s Thames River.

Since then, these quirky vessels have gained popularity across Europe, particularly in Belgium and Switzerland. The trend has since crossed the pond, with customized versions appearing in Seattle and New York, quickly becoming must-try winter attractions for locals and tourists alike.

Chicago Electric Boat’s hot tub boat accommodates up to six passengers, making it perfect for a girls’ night out or a unique date idea. There is no need to worry about navigating—a professional captain is on board to ensure smooth sailing.

To maintain cleanliness and hygiene, food isn’t allowed on board. However, you can still enjoy your favorite drinks from the onboard refrigerator while enjoying the city’s breathtaking architecture. Ready to take the plunge? Tickets range from $350 to $425, depending on the date.

A spokesperson for the boat company expressed enthusiasm about their unique offering, stating that the hot tub boat is perfect for those seeking a distinctive winter experience. They hoped customers would create unforgettable memories with their loved ones aboard this floating oasis.
