Toyota Gazoo Racing is well known for introducing various GR parts models and expanding its sports car lineup. They recently applied GR parts to the HiAce to complete a minivan model with a more dynamic style.

The H200 HiAce, first released in 2004, is a representative minivan model of the Toyota brand that has been sold without major design changes. As it maintains the same platform until the 2025 model, the styling upgrade provided by GR parts is expected to add freshness to the HiAce.

HiAce GR Parts Version I: Off-Road Ruggedness

The Hiace GR parts are available in two versions, Version I and Version II, each pursuing a different style. First, Version I is designed based on the off-road style, while Version 2 creates a sportier atmosphere.

The Hiace GR parts Version I is characterized by a solid design. The front bumper has a sporty bolt-on insert, and LED daytime running lights are built in. In addition, a metal-style skid plate emphasizes the off-road style. The side skirt is designed to be used as a side step, and a mud flap with the GR logo is additionally installed. The mud flap is available in two color options, red and black so that consumers can choose according to their taste.

HiAce GR Parts Version II: Sporty Elegance

A more sophisticated design has been applied for the GR Parts Version II. The front bumper has a sporty splitter, and the side skirts maintain a simple yet sharp form. A mini diffuser can be applied to the rear bumper, completing a more aggressive design. Additional options include 15-inch alloy wheels and a license plate frame with the GR logo can also be selected. Both versions focus on maximizing the individuality of the Hiace through design differentiation.

Toyota described the Hiace GR Parts Version I and II as designs that stand out in outdoor activities and city settings, reflecting a thrilling anticipation of motorsports. They added that both models have been upgraded to preserve the Hiace’s identity while maintaining their individuality.

GR Parts Pricing and Additional Options

The pricing of GR parts varies depending on the version you choose. The Version I body kit costs 231,000 yen (approximately $1,500), while the Version II body kit costs 143,000 yen (approximately $940). Additional options are also available, and more complete styling will cost you extra. For example, the wheel and tire upgrade costs 242,000 yen (approximately $1,600), the mud flaps cost 33,000 yen (approximately $220), and the GR anti-theft license plate frame costs 15,510 yen (approximately $100).

GR parts occupy the most basic position within the Gazoo Racing brand, lower than the high-end GRMN or performance-oriented GR Sports model. Interestingly, the Hiace GR parts model is not registered on the official Japanese Gazoo Racing website. This can be interpreted to mean that Toyota does not recognize the Hiace as an official GR model. Instead, the GR Sports lineup officially includes the pickup truck Hilux GR Sport.
