The US Open Tennis Championship, which kicked off on the 27th in New York City, has a total prize pool of $75 million, significantly higher than other major tournaments.

This year, the Australian Open’s total prize pool was 86.5 million Australian dollars, the French Open’s was 53.5 million euros, and Wimbledon offered 50 million pounds. When converted, Wimbledon’s prize money stands at about US$63.5 million, while the Australian Open and French Open each fall around US$60 million.

The US Open is particularly notable for its generous payouts. Players eliminated in the singles main draw still receive $100,000, and the singles champion takes home $3.6 million. Forbes reported that the US Open generated over $514 million in total revenue last year.

The main stadium, Arthur Ashe Stadium, is the largest tennis stadium in the world, with a seating capacity of over 23,000. The distance from the stands to the court is approximately 30 meters. Good seats in the stadium are priced at $2,000 on the tournament’s official website, but the actual market price is expected to be even higher.

The second-largest court at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Louis Armstrong Stadium, holds 14,000 spectators, comparable to the main courts of other major tournaments. Last year, the US Open attracted 799,402 fans.

This year, the number of corporate sponsors for the US Open increased from 24 to 25, with global companies such as Emirates Airlines, American Express, JP Morgan, IBM, and Rolex among the sponsors.
