SM Entertainment’s rookie boy group Riize almost faced a dangerous situation when extreme fans rushed towards them as they arrived in the country.

On the 16th, a post titled ‘Riize’s airport arrival situation’ was uploaded to various online communities.

The post read, “This is the arrival scene around 11 PM Korean time. The members were constantly pushed, and even the security guards were pushed away,” and shared several videos.

In the released video, security guards tried to block the rushing fans and make way for the Riize members, but the scene turned into chaos as they were pushed by fans who broke through the security control to rush toward Riize.

Finally, Riize moved to the car surrounded by fans, and members Shotaro and Anton staggered due to the influx of fans.

Netizens who saw this commented, “What if a major accident occurs like this,” “They could be crushed if they fall, please,” “The disorder is too severe,” “Neither security guards nor celebrities can go,” “It looks dangerous,” “Which fan would push the idol just to see a picture or face,” “No wonder security guards are overly protective,” criticizing the situation.

The issue of excessive security due to fans flocking to see idols entering and leaving the airport occurs periodically and is controversial.

Meanwhile, Riize is a 7-member boy group under SM Entertainment that debuted last month.

Riize received a lot of love by selling over a million copies of their debut single, “Get A Guitar,” within a week of its release.

In September, SM Entertainment announced that the rookie group Riize had signed a label contract with RCA Records, a subsidiary of the major U.S. record company Sony Music Entertainment.

SM Entertainment stated, “It is unprecedented for a K-pop group to sign a contract with a major U.S. record company before their official debut.”
