Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, famous for the Terminator series, was detained by German customs authorities because of a luxury watch.

According to American entertainment media Page Six and other local media on the 17th (local time), Schwarzenegger was held at Munich Airport for three hours last Wednesday.

According to a source, Schwarzenegger was detained by customs because he was traveling with a watch he might auction off at his charity in Kitzbühel, Austria.

Thomas Meister, a spokesperson for Munich Customs, said about the watch, “The watch should have been registered with customs in advance because it is an imported product. We have initiated criminal tax proceedings against him.”

Schwarzenegger’s watch is from the Swiss brand Audemars Piguet and is known to cost over $21,000.

Schwarzenegger’s side stated, “Arnold was never asked to fill out a declaration and answered all of the customs officer’s questions honestly. He thought it was an inept seizure but cooperated at all stages and considered it a comedy full of mistakes that could make a hilarious cop movie.”

In photos released through the report, Schwarzenegger is seen smiling at the camera, holding a watch box, wearing a jacket with the American flag and glasses.

Schwarzenegger agreed to pay the tax in advance despite it being his personal property, but it was reported that there was a problem with the police’s credit card machine, causing him to wait an hour.

An insider explained, “When Arnold returned, a new officer brought a new credit card machine. At first, he was quite calm during the interrogation, but the time and process annoyed him.”

Schwarzenegger is an American actor, bodybuilder, and politician.

In addition to his iconic role in Terminator, Schwarzenegger has starred in many hit action films and is loved worldwide.

During his time as Governor of California in 2006, Schwarzenegger introduced the first greenhouse gas emission regulation bill in the U.S. and is currently active as a climate activist.
