Lotus Emeya, the All-Electric Hyper GT, Breaks Cover

globalautonews Views

Lotus has announced that it has unveiled its first-ever 4-door hyper GT car, Emeya, at Studio Emeya, a studio in New York City.

The Lotus Emeya represents the culmination of 75 years of Lotus brand engineering and design, setting a new benchmark for the driving experience and feeling unique to Lotus cars. The introduction of cutting-edge technology is expected to provide drivers with the joy of driving and top-notch performance.

The newly unveiled Lotus Emeya is expected to become one of the fastest GT cars in the world. It is expected to deliver the performance of reaching a top speed of 250km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in under 2.8 seconds, based on the high-performance dual motor setup of the top-of-the-line model.

In addition to its driving performance, its charging performance is also outstanding. With a 350kW DC fast charger, the Lotus Emeya can achieve a range of approximately 150km with a 5-minute charge and reach up to 80% of the maximum driving distance with a 15-minute charge.

The Emeya, which will be added to Lotus’ pure electric luxury lifestyle lineup, is expected to contribute to Lotus’ vision of becoming a global performance car brand by 2028. Production is scheduled to begin in 2024, and more detailed information will be released in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Meanwhile, KOLON Mobility Group, which established Lotus Cars Korea by signing an official partnership agreement with Lotus Cars in May this year, is the sole official distributor of Lotus Cars in Korea.
