On February 20, 2023 (local time), President Joe Biden of the United States visited Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine (Photo=White House).

North Korea scorned the United States for providing new ATACMS surface-to-surface missiles to Ukraine, stating, “It won’t change the situation; it will only fuel Zelenskyy’s reckless confrontational madness.”

The Korean Central News Agency reported on the 29th that the head of the Military Foreign Affairs Department of the North Korean Ministry of National Defense made this statement through a speech titled A trifling choice that cannot handle the aftermath will only bring about anger.

The head of the Military Foreign Affairs Department of the North Korean Ministry of National Defense claimed in the speech, “Recently, it was revealed that the United States secretly offered long-range missiles to Ukraine.”

He continued to criticize, “The long-range missiles provided by the United States will never change the battlefield situation, but will only fuel the reckless confrontational madness of Zelenskyy’s regime.”

The speech emphasized, “The current U.S. administration is boasting that its support of long-range missiles to Ukraine will make the U.S. safer, but it is only a matter of time before witnessing the defeat of Washington under unstable U.S. and Ukrainian battlefield.”

The U.S. White House and State Department previously revealed on the 24th that they had secretly provided Ukraine with new ATACMS surface-to-surface missiles with a range of 186 miles, instructing that they be used only within Ukrainian territory.
