Elon Musk and Chinese Premier Li Qiang Discuss Tesla’s Bright Future in China

As reported by China Daily, Tesla CEO Elon Musk met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang on April 28, 2024, during the 2024 Auto China Convention. Premier Li stated that Tesla’s growth in China is a successful example of trade cooperation between the U.S. and China. He expressed his hope for continued collaboration in the same direction to foster stable development of bilateral relations. He emphasized that China’s vast market will always be open to foreign companies.

Premier Li pledged to continue expanding market access and improving services to provide foreign companies with a better business environment and robust support, enabling them to invest in China with confidence and assurance.

Elon Musk praised the hard work and wisdom of the Tesla team in China, attributing the company’s best performance to the Shanghai Gigafactory. He expressed his intention to deepen cooperation with China to achieve more mutually beneficial results, as reported by China Daily.

This was Musk’s second visit to China within a year.
