U.S. News & World Report recently surveyed various countries and announced the ranking of the best countries in the world. Japan secured sixth place, while China and South Korea held 20th and 21st positions.
This survey is based on evaluating 87 countries from 73 different perspectives, categorized into 10 categories, including advancement, cultural influence, tradition, and business environment.
Switzerland took first place, retaining its position from 2022. It received high ratings for its economic and political stability, popularity as a tourist and residential location, efforts towards climate targets, low unemployment rate, and high education level.
Japan maintained its 6th place ranking in 2022. The country scored highest in the category of entrepreneurial spirit, which is a factor in innovation, a well-educated population, and a robust digital infrastructure. However, Japan received its lowest score in the category of social purpose.
China secured the 20th place. It recorded 2nd place in the global power category and 8th place in the entrepreneurial spirit category. However, it scored poorly in social purpose (78th place) and adventurous spirit (61st place).
South Korea recorded 21st place, following China. It received high scores in entrepreneurial spirit (7th place) and cultural influence (7th place). Still, it received low scores in adventurous spirit (54th place) and open-mindedness towards businesses (74th place).
