Trump Believes Harris Will Be a ‘Easier to Defeat’ After Biden Drops Out

Republican candidate Donald Trump noted that “Biden is the Worst President, by far, in the History of our Nation.” shortly after President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential race.

Trump made these remarks during a phone interview with CNN, noting that the identity of the Democratic candidate was unclear.

“Harris will be easier to beat than Joe Biden would have been,” Trump told CNN.

Trump also wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social, that “Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve.” He further said, “Biden only ‘attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement.’ “All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t.”

It appears that Trump had anticipated Biden’s withdrawal as part of a pre-existing scenario. CNN reported that Trump’s campaign had investigated the situation since last month’s debate regarding Biden’s resignation.

Biden withdrew from the Democratic presidential nomination just 107 days before the November election. In a statement, Biden said, “While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.” He endorsed his running mate, Kamala Harris, as the party’s presidential nominee.
