Daniel Kim Views

A former UN employee has been arrested in Switzerland on charges of espionage. Foreign news outlets reported that Craig, a Canadian who has worked as a North Korean expert, was detained by Swiss authorities several months ago. He is currently under investigation for his involvement in political and military activities.

Reportedly in his 50s, he was an environmental consultant but had been actively working as a North Korea expert in Geneva, where he regularly interacted with North Korean diplomats and other officials.

It is reported that he met with a suspected Chinese spy and exchanged information, which included personal details about North Korean diplomats.

The Swiss Federal Department of Justice has refrained from making specific comments about the case.
