With Donald Trump successfully securing his re-election, Melania Trump will once again hold the title of First Lady. However, her return to public life seems uncertain, as many note her understated response to her husband’s victory and her longstanding preference for privacy.

Melania did not attend the Republican National Convention on both the first and second days when Trump officially received the party’s nomination. After Trump’s victory, she displayed a broad smile but occasionally wore a severe expression, drawing attention.

On Monday, People reported insights from those close to Melania regarding her potential role if Trump returns to the White House. It’s unclear whether she will take on traditional duties. A source close to Trump explained that if Melania were to become First Lady again, there would naturally be expectations for her to assume her duties in the White House. However, the source noted that Melania does not particularly enjoy being there.

Instead, she must divide her time between her New York residence and a Mar-a-Lago, Florida home. He believed Melania’s likelihood of residing in the White House is low. Another family friend echoed this, noting that Melania will likely stay in Florida and New York rather than Washington, D.C.

After stepping down from her role as First Lady, Melania has enjoyed being out of the public eye. There were even stories that on the day of President Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2021, Melania smiled the brightest as she and Trump left the White House.

Some even joked that the White House holds little allure compared to the comforts of Trump’s private residence. Melania reportedly prioritizes spending time with their son Barron in New York.

Melania, born in 1970, is 24 years younger than Trump. They married in 2005 and welcomed their son, Barron Trump, in 2006. Melania did not move into the White House at the beginning of the Trump administration in 2017, choosing to stay at their New York home instead.
