According to the Incheon Airport Police on the 19th, around 4:45 PM on the 12th, a security screening officer at Incheon Airport Terminal 2 transfer area caught an 80-year-old Chinese woman suspected of concealing razor blades in a Vaseline jar during a luggage check.

The woman planned to travel via Incheon Airport from Canada to Beijing, China. However, during the in-flight luggage check at Incheon Airport, seven razor blades were discovered, individually packaged and stored in a Vaseline jar.

The police suspected that the woman had deliberately concealed the razor blades, prompting the National Intelligence Service and the Military Counter-Intelligence Command to also arrive at the scene to investigate her.

During the investigation, the woman claimed she was unaware of placing the razor blades in the Vaseline jar, explaining that she did so to prevent them from rusting. She stated she intended to use them to remove calluses from her heels.

Considering the woman’s statement and advanced age, the police granted her permission to leave the country.
