To visit Katsuoji Temple during your Osaka trip, transfer to Namba Station or Shin-Osaka Station and get off at Senri-Chuo Station. From there, it’s about a 30-minute bus ride or a 20-minute taxi ride.

Just looking at the autumn leaves from the main hall of Kiyomizudera on the hillside can make you feel the true essence of autumn.

They also open at night in the fall, making it a great place to enjoy the night view. You can see the autumn leaves of Kiyomizudera from November to early December. You can also enjoy the autumn leaves at Tofukuji Temple, the Philosopher’s Path, Nijo Castle, and the Sagano Tourist Railway.

③ Recommended places for autumn travel in Fukuoka

Fukuoka is a popular travel destination in Japan, just like Osaka. Yuusentei Park in Fukuoka is a place loved by locals. A Japanese-style park spread over 9,900 square feet (920 square meters). In the fall, about 150 maple trees in the park change color. The vibrant autumn leaves and the pond’s landscape in the garden’s center create a harmonious scene.

Yuusentei Park is maintained all year round, with camellia, plum, and zelkova trees, among others, blooming each season. You can see plants over 300 years old and enjoy the park’s flowers throughout the year. It’s a great place to step out of the city, take a walk, and feel the autumn while enjoying the leaves.

The combination of Japanese houses and flowers makes it a great place to take photos. You can also enjoy tea while admiring the scenery of Yuusentei Garden from the main building next to the pond. You must walk about 17 minutes from Jaya-mae Station on the Nanakuma Line to visit here.
