Yang Hyun Suk, YG’s chief producer, announced through a “YG Surprise Announcement” video released on the official blog at midnight on the 25th, “Fortunately, Ahyeon has fully recovered her health and is back at YG starting today, recording songs for the album. I wanted to share this happy news with all of you, and thus I am sending this message.”

Ahyeon gained attention through the debut reality show Last Evolution, aired last year. She was selected as the final member of BABYMONSTER but had to leave the team temporarily for health reasons.

Fans were saddened by the absence of Ahyeon, who showcased exceptional singing skills and performance.

Ultimately, BABYMONSTER debuted as a six-member group without Ahyeon on November 27th last year. Even in Ahyeon’s absence, they gained popularity, winning the New Artist of the Year award in the 2023 Circle Chart Music Awards Global Streaming Category.

Ahyeon will join the team’s activities, starting with the first mini-album, released in April. Not only that but a version featuring Ahyeon will also be included in the song “Stuck in The Middle,” which will be released on the 1st of next month.

With the return of original member Ahyeon to BABYMONSTER, known as the “monster rookie,” expectations are heightened.
