Apple Inc.’s mixed reality (MR) headset Vision Pro will launch in regions outside the U.S. next month.
According to Bloomberg on the 13th, Apple Inc. is preparing to sell the Vision Pro outside the U.S. and plans to launch it in overseas markets after the World Developers Conference (WWDC), which will be held from the 10th to the 14th of next month. Furthermore, the overseas markets will include Korea, Germany, France, Australia, Japan, Singapore, and China.
If the Vision Pro is sold in overseas markets in June, it will have been just over four months since its launch. Apple Inc. released the Vision Pro in the U.S. in early February but did not disclose the release schedule in other regions. The Vision Pro was first unveiled in June last year.
Bloomberg reported that Vision Pro’s launch in overseas markets could help boost sales when Apple Inc.’s most popular iPhone product sales are slowing down. However, it’s known that Vision Pro faced difficulties in the initial stages of its sales due to its high price of $3,499.
In a conference call after the earnings announcement on the 2nd, Tim Cook said, “Corporate customers are using it for various purposes” and that “we are focusing on growing the Vision Pro ecosystem and securing more apps.”
