There is an ice cream brand that is making abuzz across the nation. The reason? Only those aged 21 and over can enjoy the ice cream. This ice cream is from the Tipsy Scoop, and just like its name, it can make you tipsy as it contains alcohol.
The Tipsy Scoop is gaining massive popularity in the United States with its alcoholic ice cream. The alcohol content in Tipsy Scoop’s ice cream is about 5%, similar to a glass of beer.
Recently, Time Out reported that the Tipsy Scoop opened a pop-up store in the Empire State Building in New York.
The Tipsy Scoop is offering a variety of ice cream flavors at the Empire State Building’s 86th-floor observatory until September 3. Some flavors include Mango Margarita Sorbet made with tequila and orange-flavored alcohol, and Dark Chocolate Ice Cream made with whiskey and salted caramel.
They are also presenting a refreshing Raspberry Sorbet made with lemon-flavored alcohol and Tequila Hot Chocolate Ice Cream made with tequila and cinnamon. All ice creams are priced at $15. The Tipsy Scoop store in the Empire State Building operates from 11 AM to 8 PM from Tuesday to Sunday. Just like the U.S. alcohol purchasing regulations, only those aged 21 and over can enjoy the ice cream.
To get to the 86th-floor observatory of the Empire State Building, you will need a ticket. The ticket price for adults is $44, and if you want to go up to the 102nd floor, it’s $79.
