Wimbledon Tennis Player Hits the Court in Her Wedding Dress

inews24 Views

Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk, 22, gained attention at Wimbledon by wearing a replica of her wedding dress.

On the 3rd, Kostyuk posted on Instagram, “I think after Wimbledon is over, I will put this dress in a frame and hang it on the wall somewhere,” revealing her intention to wear her replica wedding dress for the match.

Kostyuk, ranked 19th in women’s tennis, will match against Daria Saville (ranked 82nd) on the 12th, wearing her replica wedding dress.

Kostyuk married Heorhii Sudakov in Cyprus last year. Joelle Michaeloff, a designer for the sportswear brand Wilson, designed the wedding dress. It was simple, sleeveless, and had a V-neckline. Kostyuk said, “I think a lot of girls know exactly how they want their wedding dress to look, but I had no idea what I wanted or what I liked. I wanted something very simple, but at the same time something that you will remember.”
