Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, who has been battling cancer, announced on September Saturday through a video message that she has completed nine months of chemotherapy treatment.

In the video posted on X, she expressed her relief: “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.”

She said, “Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long, and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” adding she was looking forward to returning to public duties when she was able.

This video message comes five months after the Princess first revealed her cancer treatment on March 22 via a video. At that time, she explained that cancer was detected in tests conducted after surgery in mid-January.

The Princess shared, “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life, as you know, can change instantly, and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and unknown roads.” She continued, “The cancer journey is complex, scary, and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness can come light, so let that light shine bright.”

According to the BBC, the royal family stated that it is currently difficult to determine whether the Princess is cancer-free. Sources noted that her full return will take time, and she will focus on her health in the coming months.
