Seoul’s Scare: Quick Response to Fire Blamed on North Korean Balloons

A fire broke out in an apartment complex in Seoul, reportedly caused by balloons sent from North Korea

According to fire authorities, the incident occurred at 9:42 PM on Wednesday in Seokgwan-dong, Seongbuk-gu.

Firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after receiving the report and extinguished the flames by 9:57 PM, just 15 minutes later.

The fire scorched some grass near the ignition point, but fortunately, there were no reported injuries.

Authorities are currently retrieving the balloons to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the fire.
