North Korea suggests its achievement through science and technology exchange initiatives.
On Monday, North Korea’s state-run newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported that more than 1,300 proposals were yielded from over ten science and technology exchange events, which were orchestrated across the nation as the Central Committee of the Korean Federation of Science and Technology, various associations, academic societies, and the Ministry of Education.
Rodong Sinmun highlighted that prestigious institutions, including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, and the University of Sciences, have produced groundbreaking research in fields such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, mechanics, geography, and laser technology, all of which have substantial practical applications.
Furthermore, the Heat Engineering Institute of the State Academy of Sciences and the Pyongyang Daily Necessities Factory have contributed to the modernization and automation of the plating process by enhancing the thermal efficiency and steam production of the Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant’s boilers.
It also mentioned a science and technology symposium focused on the comprehensive and efficient development of Samjiyon City’s natural resources and geographical advantages.
Lastly, the newspaper added that several academic papers were praised highly for being the key academic foundation for realizing the greenhouse vegetable and mushroom production optimization and making ginseng cultivation and processing scientific.
