The performance of Apple’s recently released MacBook Pro featuring the M4 series chipset has garnered significant attention.
The M4 Max has demonstrated powerful GPU performance, according to IT media outlet 9to5Mac on Sunday.
According to Blender Open Data, the M4 Max scored an average of 5208 points across 28 tests. This performance is slightly lower than NVIDIA’s RTX 4080 laptop version but surpasses the previous-generation desktop RTX 3080 Ti and the current-generation desktop RTX 4070.
These results are quite impressive considering that Apple’s graphics are entirely integrated within the chip, unlike the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 4070, which occupy significant space inside desktop PCs.
However, despite these strong results, the M4 Max still lags behind NVIDIA’s top-tier RTX 4090 laptop GPU, which achieved an average score of 6,863—about 30% faster than the M4 Max.
