North Korea and Russia Meet for Crucial Trade Talks—Here’s What Happened

On Wednesday, North Korean Premier Kim Tok Hun met with Alexander Kozlov, the Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology, who was leading a government delegation from Russia.

According to Rodong Sinmun‘s report on Thursday, the meeting was also attended by North Korea’s Minister of External Economic Relations, Yun Jong Ho, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kim Jong Gyu, and Alexander Matsegora, the Russian Ambassador to North Korea.

The newspaper noted that the discussions were held in a cordial atmosphere.

Kozlov visited Pyongyang to participate in the DPRK-Russia Inter-governmental Committee for Cooperation in Trade, Economy, Science and Technology.

The Russian delegation, including Kozlov, concluded their visit and departed North Korea that day.
