Schneider Electric announced on Thursday that it will accelerate its “End-to-End” data center solutions to address energy and sustainability challenges arising from the high demand for artificial intelligence (AI).

This announcement is expected to be a turning point in enhancing data center energy efficiency and strengthening decarbonization and sustainability efforts amid the surge in energy demand driven by AI technologies.

Schneider Electric focuses on three key areas to adapt to the AI era: appropriate energy strategies, advanced infrastructure solutions, and sustainability consulting. The company supports acquiring renewable energy and optimizing on-site power generation (including wind, solar, and hydrogen) while providing comprehensive infrastructure solutions to maintain energy-efficient data center operations.

On the same day, Schneider Electric announced the introduction of a new liquid cooling-based data center reference design, developed in collaboration with NVIDIA, that supports high-density AI clusters. This design is optimized for NVIDIA’s latest GB200 NVL72 platform and Blackwell chips, and it supports AI clusters up to 132 kW per rack while solving problems associated with large-scale liquid cooling.

Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, stated, “Building the future of accelerated computing and AI requires speed and a bedrock foundation. Our work with Schneider Electric enables customers to design the world’s technological advances on stable and resilient infrastructure. Together, we’re creating AI data centers that are purpose-built for accelerated computing, supporting complex architectures essential to delivering digital intelligence to every company and industry.”

Schneider Electric also offers data-driven sustainability consulting services to help customers achieve their decarbonization goals. These services enable clients to implement practical changes in various areas, including energy strategy development, digitized sustainability initiatives, and supply chain optimization.

Pankaj Sharma, Executive Vice President of Schneider Electric’s Secure Power Division, noted that the demand for energy and the environmental impact caused by AI are growing at an unprecedented rate. He stated that Schneider Electric aims to set new standards and shape the future of data center and digital infrastructure decarbonization. Sharma highlighted that this announcement marks a significant step towards improving energy efficiency and sustainability in the era of AI.
