North Korea’s Sunchon Limestone Mine and Manpo August 2 Cement Factory have conducted large-scale blasts of 200,000 cubic meters and 100,000 cubic meters, respectively.

On Tuesday, North Korea’s state-run newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported that the two facilities had identified efficient blasting zones and points based on their experiences with large-scale blasts from the previous year.

The newspaper highlighted that the successful execution of these large-scale blasts has established a solid foundation for ensuring increased cement production at construction sites.

Last Friday, the Kujang Cement Factory also conducted a large-scale blast of 100,000 cubic meters, further contributing to the nationwide effort to expand cement production.
