North Korean forces deployed to Ukraine are reportedly demonstrating a rapid adaptation to modern warfare, according to multiple sources.

On Sunday, AP cited a Ukrainian soldier with firsthand combat experience against North Korean troops. The soldier described the North Koreans as more professional, better trained, and highly organized than their Russian counterparts.

Ukrainian perceptions of North Korean military capabilities are evolving quickly. These troops move in small groups, with soldiers 10- 16 feet apart. They also noted the North Koreans’ impressive speed during night operations.

Despite claims from South Korea, Ukraine, and the United States that North Korea has deployed between 10,000 and 12,000 troops to Russia, Moscow continues to deny the presence of North Korean forces in the conflict.
