North Korean Waste Balloons Invade Seoul’s National Assembly

inews24 Views

A report has emerged that the waste balloons North Korea launched on the 24th landed in the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul.

Joint Chiefs of Staff provided a video capture

The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul received a report at around 5:40 PM on the 25th that anti-South leaflets were found near the National Assembly Library in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

A police official demonstrated that they collected remnants of the balloon, including paper.

On the 10th, North Korean waste balloons were also found in the National Central Museum’s parking lot near the Presidential Office in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The National Central Museum is about 2625 feet from the Presidential Office in a straight line, with Yongsan Park in between.

The waste balloons North Korea recently sent in succession have landed in over 700 places in South Korea.

The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff previously announced on the 24th that North Korea had projected objects suspected to be waste balloons at night.

In protest against the distribution of anti-North leaflets, North Korea has launched balloons filled with garbage about four times from the 28th of last month to the 9th of this month.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff urged citizens to be cautious of falling objects. They should avoid contact if they find fallen balloons and report to the nearest military unit or police station.
